I’m all alone in the busy crowd
Feeling coldness among the warmth of friends
Hatred fills me even when I’m surrounded by love

The light shines on me in this dark hole
Giving hope to me when there’s only despair
Should I embrace it or refuse it?
With each climb up is a harder fall

Why go against the tide? 

When you have nothing to hide
There are no rules to abide
When it’s yours to decide

There’s no need for pride
When you have friends to confide
Treat life as a joyride
Spread happiness worldwide

In the night I close my eyes
But I’m too afraid to sleep
I continue all night with cries
With wounds in my heart so deep

Dawn has come swiftly and fast
With the blue morning sky so vast
And beautiful lights the sun has cast
I wish good moments could last
But all things will become the past

I guess it’s a lesson for us to learn
That happiness is something to earn
Even if it’s something we always yearn

So be cool and be proud
You've tried and only that mattered
That’s why you can shout out loud
Knowing you've become so much better
